We need a website made, but we also don’t have an IT person to handle other parts of it (hosting, a blog, social
media… the works, really.) Can you handle this?
Indeed we can. In fact, this is one aspect that really separates us from other web designers in nc that serve small businesses. Our slogan is “Small enough to care, large enough to deliver”, and we really take that to heart.. From hosting to blogs to local SEO and everything else, we‘re your one-stop-shop.
You say you do small business web design… can you also do larger-type projects, like database-driven websites,
e-commerce portals, and similar?
Absolutely. We choose to focus on small business, because we view that as an under-served niche (truthfully, small businesses have pretty lousy web designers to choose from.) But yes, building a database driven site, e-commerce shopping carts, vendor portals – we can handle all of that if needed. Just about anything a large web developer can do, you can count on us doing.
What CMS platforms do you develop on?
Primarily Joomla, as we find that to be the best mix between functionality and professional robustness. Joomla is extremely user-friendly, but powerful enough for almost anyone. If Joomla is not your cup of tea, we also develop on WordPress, Drupal, and Expression Engine.
I need you to make my website, but hey, I can update it myself. Is that ok?
Sure thing! We’ll make you an exceptional website, and if you wish to use the CMS to handle all updates, that’s just fine. And if you need us, we’ll be here.
I saw your logo design, and that looks fine, but I need some other graphic work as well – can you handle that?
Yes. We can do just about anything graphics-related. Tell us what you want, and we’ll make it happen.
Green web hosting – you in?
Yes, we feel that’s important. We partner with Green Mountain Energy, the leading provider of cleaner energy and carbon offsetting solutions.
How do your small business SEO services stack up against other companies?
Very well. For one, we understand that small businesses and large businesses have different needs. Listen, a huge company wants to be #1 wherever someone searches, but a smaller business – they might only be interested in a small geographical area, to a certain demographic. It’s a different approach and a different focus.
I hear about white hat SEO and black hat SEO – what’s up with all the hats?
As you would guess, white hat SEO and black hat SEO refers to “ethical” SEO, and “unethical” SEO in regards to the tactics used. A black hat company cuts corners, and does things that are considered questionable (like spam people, and create fake posts on forums and blog posts.) As you would guess, we’re white hat all the way, and only use honest, ethical SEO tactics.
I’m sooo confused with the different aspects regarding social media. I have a Facebook page, and even made a few posts, but nothing has happened. I’m losing faith…
Don’t_lose_faith. Good social media marketing is an art. If you use Facebook (et al) only like the stereotype (“here’s what we have going on”), no, you won’t get very far. It’s really about the readers, not you. But you can make it about them and about you at the same time. Confused? Contact us, and you won’t be anymore.
